Welcome to A Creative Connection with Nature and this little corner of mine in the online world with me, Louise Gale.

I am a Mixed Media Artist and most of my time here will be spent sharing the little creative ways I weave nature into my art practice. I will also be exploring and sharing little snippets of inspiration for you to explore your own.

I am in the UK at the moment and there has been this wonderful Spring feeling for a few weeks now since I returned from Thailand.

The sun has been shining and it has been a joy to be in my little Garden Art Studio at the bottom of my mums garden, planning a new creative project and clearing out some clutter - this is both mental and physical. I have to admit, I have had a deep mental block with my creativity for a while and I am starting to feel a new sense of wonder after my travels and working in the garden for the last couple of weeks.

So, for those of you who might be new here. This time last year, we were deep into the renovations of my UK Garden Art Studio! A project which at the very beginning felt like it would not come to fruition. But a year on, I am now enjoying this peaceful little sanctuary at the top of the garden and I am dreaming about the next stage which is cultivating the garden area around the studio. There are some short work in progress videos from last year on my YouTube Playlist here.

Seeing how much progress has been made reminds me to keep chipping away at those little steps to keep moving forward with my visions and dreaming about what this time next year may look like. Not just for my little art studio area in the garden, but for my creative life that has been overshadowed by other work commitments.

When I have that feeling of being a little stuck with my creativity, it usually means that I need to move some energy somewhere in my life.

Traveling to a new country and taking some time out is a wonderful escape of course and I feel so fortunate that I was able to take that time. But, actually clearing physical AND mental space in our current environment is what is usually needed the most.

Clearing space also helps clear the mind and make room for new opportunities and possibilities. So when I clear space, I tend to also do some visioning too so I can start to invite those new things in once I have let go of the ones that no longer fit in my life.

Why is it important to clear mental & physical clutter?

So what are the key benefits to clearing some space and why do we need to do so? One of the biggest problems associated with mental and physical clutter is how it keeps us stuck in a home or level of thought that leaves us little or no room for growth.

Like a plant in a pot that is too small for it’s roots, we outgrow our own pot. This is when we begin to see our relationships suffer, business opportunities dry up, health and energy lowering, and finances becoming tighter.

……And this is exactly how I am feeling right now. As I work on planting and growing a garden around my UK studio, I am also feeling a need to plant, nurture and grow seeds for my own dreams to expand and flourish.

Decluttering, simplifying and clearing space helps to remove mental and physical blockages from our lives that stops all the positive energy to flow freely around us.

Positive energy is what promotes success. Energy is everywhere. The human body and everything around us is an energy system resonating at different vibrational energy levels throughout the day.

WITH CLUTTER YOU HAVE…

  • Low vitality and energy

  • Less opportunities flowing to you

  • Lack of abundance

  • Feeling of being stuck

  • Low thoughts and feelings

  • Pessimistic thoughts

  • Anger

WITH CLEAR SPACE YOU HAVE….

  • Improved energy and interest in life

  • Happy surprises, good fortune

  • New opportunities, better finances

  • Life flowing smoothly, active,

  • Energized

  • Improved energy and interest in life

  • Optimistic, forward thinking and positive happy mood.

It really is a wonderful way to reset!

Clear Some Space to Invite Exciting New Possibilities In!

We are currently in the waning phase of the moon cycle (until the New Moon on April 28) and this is an amazing time to let go of what is no longer needed and do some Spring Cleaning in life!

So, in the spirit of this new season, I am offering a special 30% off Flash Sale on my Spring Clean Your Life Journal class. This class is also part of the ‘Dream Life Class Bundle’ so I have left the 50% offer on the bundle of classes here also.

Below is my journal cover. I love to paint my journals and sketchbooks. So much fun!

Of course it doesn’t need to be Spring where you are to give your life a little lift, and “Spring Clean Your Life” is perfect for any time of the year to dust off your own cobwebs and clear some space to invite exciting new possibilities in and get our creative energy to flow.

This fun and creative class will take you through activities to help you:

  • Clear the Mind of Clutter to Live more Mindfully

  • Clear Space and Physical Clutter

  • Restore balance & well-being in every area of your life.

  • BONUS: Create a Sanctuary in every room in your home.

We will also create our own "Spring Clean" Art Journal to track our journey along the way! Below are just a few of the pages and downloads from the Spring Clean Your Life Journal class! So much more inside.

I will be leaving my newly planted veggie garden in the hands of my mum and heading back to Spain next week. I am so ready to get into my apartment there for some Spring Cleaning and sorting as I embark on finishing up my paintings for the gallery for June. More on this in my next podcast and post. Its going to feel so good to get back to some painting art (not just fences) next month!

If you are not able to take the Spring Clean Your Life class, here are just 5 ideas to give your life a little Spring Clean over the coming week. Maybe just choose one area.

1. Declutter Your Digital Space

  • Unsubscribe from newsletters you never read.

  • Organize your desktop and delete old files.

  • Clean out your photo gallery and back up what you love.

2. Review Your Inner Circle

  • Reflect on who lifts you up vs. drains you.

  • Set healthier boundaries with people who add stress.

  • Reconnect with someone you genuinely miss.

3. Clean Up Your Mental Clutter

  • Notice how you speak to yourself — would you say that to a friend?

  • Replace one negative thought a day with something kind and true.

  • Try journaling or daily affirmations.

4. Reevaluate Your Routine

  • What habits aren’t serving you anymore?

  • Could your mornings or evenings use a refresh?

  • Swap “doomscrolling” with reading, stretching, or silence.

5. Let Go of the “Someday” Pile

  • Projects you’ve been putting off forever? Either do 'em or ditch 'em.

  • Donate those “maybe I’ll wear this” clothes.

  • Delete saved links you’ll never click again.

  • Make space for what actually matters now.

This lovely new season can be thought of as a reset — lets flow with it, not against it.

I would love to hear your thoughts on whether you are doing a little Spring Clean yourself at the moment. Which areas are you focusing on? Please add your comments below.
